What We Can Do

Rambling

Some of our fussier friends and relatives think the opening question doesn’t make sense, pointing out “the reason for the nap after is the big meal, so they’re tied together”, but we maintain it’s reasonable.

After all, there are other occasions for big meals (birthdays, New Year’s, days that end in a “y”), but not usually with built-in time to nap.

We’ve also noticed that some of the dads out there claim to be watching football or meditating after the meal, yet their eyes are closed and their meditation “ooohms” sound remarkably like snores.

That’s not us, of course. We might check the insides of our eyelids for imperfections, but no one here snores. At least, no one admitted to snoring when asked.
